Sisukord:Faksiimiletrükk väljaandest: Revue Baltique (Tallinn, 1940), Nr. 1 - vol. I. Ajakiri tutvustas lähemalt kolme Balti riiki, et aidata üksteist paremini tundma õppida. Paraku jäi ajakirja esimene number ka viimaseks, juunis 1940 konfiskeeriti trükiks ette valmistatud ajakirja teine number. You are holding in your hands the journal which was one of the objects for accusation of the Baltic States by the Soviet Union just before their occupation and annexation: «Soon after the conclusion of a treaty of mutual assistance between Lithuania and the Soviet Union Lithuania made a military concord with Latvia and Estonia... It is also known that the journal «Revue Baltique», as an organ of this military concord, is published in English, French and German. All these facts show that the Government of Lithuania roughly violates the treaty of mutual assistance between the Soviet Union and Lithuania...», – in such words the USSR expressed its protest to Lithuania in June, 14, 1940 in its note. The similar words sounded in the notes of protest to Latvia and Estonia. Only the first issue of «Revue Baltique» has been published and distributed. In Tallinn in June of 1940 when the second issue was almost ready the occupation authorities confiscated it and the greatest part of the edition has been destroyed. A suggestion to publish this journal was given during the Meeting of the representatives from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia on December 10, 1939. Its purpose was to help the Baltic States to know each other better, to lay the foundation for close political, economic and cultural cooperation. Strange as it may seem, our nations living side by side with each other have never had close contacts, though we can find many fine examples of help and assistance.
