Raamat kõneleb inimese saamisloost, looduse keskel olemisest, loodusega suhtlemisest. Kuulsatest loodusteadlastest ja loodusteaduse arengust. Märkamata pole jäetud viimastel aastakümnetel ühiskonnas kehtinud vägivalla rakendamisi loodusteaduses. Samast ajast on teada meie oma sordiaretajad, selektsionäärid, kes on väsimatult olnud rohelise terakese teenistuses, aretanud tuumakama tera ja magusama viljaga uusi taimesorte, kõrge anniga kodulooma tõuge. Raamatu väljaandmisega tähistab kirjastus autori 90-ndat sünnipäeva!

Käesolev töövihik on koostatud 3-5aastastele lastele äratamaks huvi tähtede ja häälikute vastu. Vihikut täites õpib laps:tundma ja joonistama tähe visuaalset kujuhäälima (sõna häälikhaaval sujuv väljaütlemine) vaadeldava tähe kõrval pildil olevat sõna, mis algab sama häälikuga (nt A-tähe juures A-U-T-O, E juures E-E-S-E-L)kirjutama oma nimeTöövihik on mõeldud kasutamiseks täiskasvanu juhendamisel nii koduses koolimängus kui ka abistava materjalina lasteaiarühmas.

Käesolev töövihik on koostatud 3-5aastastele lastele matemaatiliste oskuste arendamiseks. Vihikus käsitletakse mõisteid suur ja väike, üks ja mitu, paar ja hulk. Töövihikut täites õpib laps:jaotama esemeid suurteks ja väikestekstegema vahet esemetel, mida on üks ja mida mitumoodustama sarnasuse ja kokkukuuluvuse alusel esemete paaremoodustama ühiste tunnustega esemete hulkimäärama kindlaks esemete hulga viie piires loendamise teelvõrdlema esemete hulkasid.Töövihik on mõeldud kasutamiseks täiskasvanu juhendamisel nii koduses koolimängus kui ka abistava materjalina lasteaiarühmas. Vihiku perforeeritud lehti saab kasutada ka eraldi töölehtedena ning hiljem on need võimalik lapse õpimapi vahele köita.

Laulumäng «Saabastega Kass« on muusikaline lavatükk lasteaia ja algklassi lastele õppimiseks ja esitamiseks, mille libretto Ch. Perrault muinasjutu järgi ja ka laulud on kirjutanud Kaari Sillamaa. Lisaks tekstile ja nootidele on raamatu tagumise kaane vahel CD, kus jutuvestja vaheldumisi lauludega (esitavad LKKK mudilasteatri lapsed) loo ette kannab. Kõigi laulude fonogrammid on samuti plaadil.

Käesolev raamat on üks osa autori mahukast, 15-st raamatust koosnevast koguteosest «Läbi sajandite», mis käsitleb Setumaad-Petserimaad, Slobodka-Mäe-Mikitamäe valda, Võhandu sovhoosi, Räpina rajooni ja Põlva maakonda. Üle 4000-leheküljeline ja 1400 fotoga varustatud koguteos «Läbi sajandite» valmis autori 30-aastase uurimistöö tulemusena ja hõlmab põhiliselt perioodi alates esimesest aastatuhandest kuni XX sajandi kaheksakümnendate aastateni. Käesolev raamat on mõeldud laialdasele lugejaskonnale Petserimaalt, Mikitamäe, Värska ja Meremäe vallast, Põlva- ja Võrumaalt, kõigile neile, kelle juured on Setumaal, aga samuti neile, kes soovivad lähemalt tutvuda Setumaa ajaloo, kultuuri, hariduse, majanduse ja teiste eluvaldkondadega.

Antud vihik ja kogu vihikute sari on abiks, et tutvustada lapsele loodust. Vihikute sarja läbivad teemad on seotud Eesti loodusega. Õppematerjali on võimalik kasutada lasteaias ja esimeses kooliastmes. Sobib kasutamiseks koolis aiateema käsitlemisel. Töölehtede ülesanded on koostatud arvestades lasteaia ja kooli õppekava.

Ei ole just tavaline, et ühest 1944. aastal Sõrve sääre lahingutest põgenenud väejooksikust saab (võltsdokumentide kaasabil ja Saaremaa metsavendade pealiku Elmar Ilbi mahitusel) täieõiguslik asjamees NKVDs ning Vastseliinas aastateks kohalik miilits. Hakates julgeolekumeeste seas samal ajal jultunult tegutsema metsavendade salakuulajana. Raamat sisaldab haaravalt tõetruu kirjelduse nõukogude vägede sissetungist Saaremaale ning hiljem end Saaremaal ja Võrumaal varjanud autori sidemetest kohalike metsavendadega, heites valgust paljude saatusele.

Vanemad on tema toa välja üürinud vene tüdrukule nimega Darja – meistervõimlejale. Lahendamise viis. Paljastada venelanna Darja kahtlased kavatsused, et kapo ta riigist välja saadaks, mis aga veel tähtsam – et Bert oma toa tagasi saaks! Komplikatsioon. Osutub, et Darja on puremiseks kõva pähkel. Raamat on pühendatud Eesti Rahvakunsti ja Käsitöö Liidu aastateemale taimest tulnud ja tutvustab meie kliimavüütmele omaseid ja siin läbi aegade kasutatud taimseid kiudusid, mida on saadud linast, kanepist, pärnast, nõgesest ja turbast. Meie kliimavöötmes on inimesed alati vajanud otstarbekalt valmistatud kehakatteid ning tarbeesemeid – parimad materjalid nende valmistamiseks on ikka looduslikud.

Käesolevas teoses on natsionaalsotsialistliku partei varajane liige Dietrich Eckart kirja pannud vestluse oma sõbra Aadolf Hitleriga. Autor suri 1923. aastal ja teos jäi tal lõpetamata.

Albert Teppandi reisipäevik Artikas reisivatest teadlastest 1988 a. septembris. Reisi kogupikkus laeval oli 4211 miili, mis maamõõdus on 7800 kilomeetrit. Meremarsruudile lisandub 3800 kilomeetrit raudteevagunis ja 500 kilomeetrit bussireise, seega kruiisi kogupikkus 12200 kilomeetrit. Reisipäevik avaldab teavet nii Põhjala karmi looduse, sealsete põlisasukate tööde-tegemiste, maade ja merede uurijate ränkraskete rännakute, kaasaegse majandustegevuse, etnograafia ja ajalooliste kasulike toimingute kui ka kurjuse ja vägivalla kohta.

Kümnevõistlus on üks kõige pikema traditsiooniga ala Eesti spordimaastikul. 2012. aastal tähistame 90 aasta möödumist esimese ametliku maailmarekordi püstitamisest. Rekordi püstitas meie oma mees – Aleksander Klumberg. 90 aasta jooksul on Eesti kümnevõistlejad võitnud täiskomplekti olümpiamedaleid:Erki Nool – kuld (2000)Rein Aun – hõbe (1964)Aleksander Klumberg – pronks (1924)Lisaks on selle aja jooksul pidevalt olnud keegi eestlastest maailma esikümnes. Ja alates Klumbergist on kaasa räägitud kümnevõistluse metoodika arendamisel ja treeningpõhimõtete ülesehitamisel. Viimane suurem trükis kümnevõistlusest ilmus legendaarse kümnevõistlusprofessori Fred Kudu sulest aastal 1975. Tema raamat «Mitmevõistlus» sai tuntud ja nõutud abimaterjaliks, mida tõlgiti seitsmesse keelde. Aeg on edasi läinud ja ka kümnevõistlus on edasi arenenud. Edasi arenenud on ka kümnevõistluse treeningmetoodika. Raamatus «Kümnevõistlus» käsitletakse paljusid teemasid, mis on vajalikud kaasaja kümnevõistleja igapäevaelus nii treeningul kui väljaspool seda. Koostajalt on varasemalt ilmunud a href="raamat?17639"«Külvetid omavahel kümnevõistlusest»/a ja a href="raamat?167849"«Boss»/a.

Kui vaadata Eesti inimeste tarbimisvõimalusi 1990. aastatest kuni tänapäevani, siis on muutused oma kiiruselt ja ulatuselt olnud tormilised. Mäetagused avaldab akadeemilisi originaaluurimusi folkloristikast, võrdlevast usundiuurimisest, kultuuriantropoloogiast ja nendega seotud valdkondadest. Autorkond on rahvusvaheline, lisaks Eesti teadlaste eestikeelsetele kirjutistele avaldatakse ka välismaa teadlaste spetsiaalselt Mäetagustesse tõlkimiseks loovutatud kirjutisi. Valikuliselt avaldatakse ka muukeelsetes teadusajakirjades avaldatud tippuurimuste tõlkeid, mis on vajalik eestikeelse erialaterminoloogia arendamiseks.

«Pokuaabits» aitab lastel õppida koos tähtede õppimisega tundma ja tajuma ka loodust. Just looduses esinevad elemendid – puuroikad, oksad, kivid on vahendid, millest pokud mängeldes selles aabitsas tähti kokku seavad. Aabits on lastele ettelugemiseks ja sealjuures ka iseseisvalt tähtede tundmise harjutamiseks. Õppimise käigus rikastavad pokud lugejate sõnavara ka huvitavate vähemtuntud loomade ja taimede nimetustega, mille juures on selgitavad pildid. «Pokuaabitsa» pokude maailma on toodud ka Edgar Valteri teiste lasteraamatute rõõmsameelsed ja heatahtlikud tegelased.

Põhjafriisi kirjanik Theodor Storm (1817-1888) on tuntuks saanud kui saksa «kodupoeet», kes on kirjeldanud oma kodukoha ja isamaja südamlikku õhustikku ja lihtsaid suhteid. Käesolevas väljaandes on avaldatud Theodor Stromi novell «Immensee». Novelli lõpus on väike saksa-eesti sõnastik novellis esinevate võõraste sõnade kohta.

Julia Klaar oli üks neist, kes 1944. aasta septembris Eestist põgenes. Tema otsuse ja teekonna erakordsus seisnes selles, et võitlust ellujäämise eest pidi ta pidama mitte ainult enda, vaid ka oma viie lapse nimel, kellest vanim oli kolmteist ja noorim kolm aastat vana. Nälg ja haigused saatmas, mindi läbi Saksamaa, Tšehhi põrgu ja Poola ning jõuti Rootsi. Julia Klaari mälestusi täiendavad oma tähelepanekutega pojad Enno ja Mati Klaar.
